The board consists of 10 Commissioners. Board members are selected for their expertise in areas appropriate to the management of the harbour. These include, but are not limited to: Shipping/Fishing/Cargo, Commerce, Finance, Health & Safety, Maritime Leisure Activities, Community Issues, Environment.

R.J. Love ROBIN LOVE joined the Board of Commissioners in 1973. He is now retired but was previously Managing Director of Cattedown Wharves Ltd. where he was employed for some forty-four years and held several Port appointments during that period. Prior to becoming Chairman, he served on the board of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners as Deputy Chairman for thirteen years. |

G. Hicks Commissioner GRAHAM HICKS Joined the Board of Commissioners in 1995. He is currently Quarry Manager at Graystone Quarry, a Bardon Aggregates facility located near Launceston. Bardon Aggregates operate a vessel loading / unloading facility at Pomphlett. Graham has worked in the minerals industry for 32 years and has operated quality environmental management and health and safety management systems. |

Cllr. G. Wheeler Commissioner GEORGE WHEELER re-joined the Board of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners in 2007.
Councillor George Wheeler has been a Plymouth City Councillor since 1989 and is a member of the planning committee. Until recently he chaired the council's transport committee and he has represented the Council on the Tamar Estuaries Consultative Forum.
He is experienced in regional planning and transport issues and is an advocate for short sea shipping. |

Capt. T.W. Charlesworth F.N.I. Harbour Master & Chief Executive CAPTAIN TIM CHARLESWORTH joined the Board of Commissioners in November 2005. He was appointed Harbour Master in 1997 and has responsibility for the port's civilian Pilotage Service. Tim served at sea for 26 years, 11 years of which was as Master.
