APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS

Board Members are appointed in accordance with the Trust Port Review and the Cattewater Harbour Revision (Constitution) Order 2005.

Appointments (which are usually a three year term) are spent on a rolling annual basis.  Incumbents can serve for a maximum of three terms.  If vacancies arise, they are advertised in the local press at the end of July.

 

Information for potential candidates

 

The board comprises of 8 selected Commissioners + 2 statutory appointments.  Board members should ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:-

 

·        Shipping/Fishing/Cargo

·        Commerce

·        Accounting & Financial Management   

·        Management

·        Health & Safety

·        Maritime Leisure Activities

·        Environment

·        Community Issues

 

but other relevant skills may be sought depending on the requirements of
the Commissioners.
